Prioritizing Urgent and Same-Day Care
Our top priority is to ensure that every child who walks through our doors receives the care and attention they deserve. We organize our schedule daily to accommodate urgent and same-day sick visits, ensuring your child can see one of our providers as quickly as possible.
We understand it’s sometimes hard to know whether to visit us or head to the ER. Our pediatric team can diagnose and treat a wide range of illnesses and injuries right here in our office. However, if your child has a serious or life-threatening condition, please call 911 or go directly to the emergency room. For all other health concerns, Treasure Coast Pediatrics is here to help.
Common Reasons for a Sick Visit:
- Fever over 100.4°F in babies under 2 months or 104°F in older children (and any fever lasting more than two days)
- Stomach pain
- Earache
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Severe rash
- Fractures or bad falls
- Difficulty swallowing
- Persistent or severe headaches
While serious injuries or dehydration require emergency care, most everyday illnesses and injuries can be managed by our pediatricians here at Treasure Coast Pediatrics.
